NSAC’s Keith Kizer gives more details on Overeem’s failed drug test

Yesterday the Nevada State Athletic Commission released information on the random drug testing done at the UFC 146 press conference. It was revealed by NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer that everyone’s tests had come back negative, except for Alistair Overeem.

All test results were negative, except Mr. Overeem tested positive for an increased T/E ratio (> 10).  Mr. Overeem will need to appear before the Commission if he seeks licensure.

Following the press release, MMAInterviews.tv caught up with Kizer who explained that the test could prove that Overeem recently used synthetic enhancers which is strictly forbidden by the Athletic Commission. He also explained that The Reem will have to submit a “B Sample” and will need to appear before the Commission if he seeks licensure. It has now been confirmed that Overeem’s T/E Ratio was a whopping 14:1!
