Main Event – RDR Attempts ONE History with Defenses of Two Titles

Reiner de Ridder has burst through ONE Championship like a tidal wave against a campfire. He has been not only perfect in all his wins, but set a ridiculously high bar for himself with not one, but two championships collected. He has taken both the middleweight and light heavyweight belt from Aung La N Sang, and he has managed one successful defense of the lighter of the belts. Up next, he will try to defend the light heavyweight belt for the first time against a mountain of a man in Vitaly Bigdash.

Bigdash has climbed back up the ranks after consecutive defeats, and showing his evolution by winning a trilogy fight against N Sang in February. The Russian out of Rostov-on-Don has only been to a decision twice in fourteen fights, and would figure to have the size advantage over the smaller de Ridder.

The Dutchman de Ridder, however, is a BJJ black belt and a menace on the mat. He has nine career submissions and has competed in ONE grappling series this year as well. Vitaly Bigdash is one of the last elite fighters within two weight divisions yet for Reiner de Ridder to face- but it may be his toughest fight yet.

Rest of the Card – Todd’s Two-Sport Quest

In the co-main event, ONE atomweight kickboxing champion Janet Todd will be making her first attempt at a belt in a second sport after capturing the kickboxing title against Stamp Fairtex. After losing her debut in ONE, Todd has been perfect for the organization, a two-fight run in Muay Thai.

She will fight Lara Fernadez of Spain for the interim atomweight title. Fernandez is a WBC Muay Thai champion. The undisputed belt is currently held by Allycia Helen Rodrigues, who is injured.

Also on the card is the ONE debut of the winner of the Road to ONE Chinese series, Tibetan Zelangzhaxi, as well as “Smokin” Jo Nattawut.
