ONE Championship will make landfall for a live cable television event on TNT this April with a star-studded three-bout line-up on April 7.

The live event, scheduled on a Wednesday, will feature Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson‘s return as he goes for the flyweight gold against Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes.
Johnson won the organization’s ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix to become the division’s top contender. The global pandemic pushed back the matchup’s anticipated date, but it has helped land them on TNT for a primetime spot.
Moraes has not competed since regaining his ONE Flyweight World Championship against Geje Eustaquio at ONE: Hero’s Ascent in January 2019. Undoubtedly, the time away from the cage will be a considerable storyline heading into this sensational contest.
But it’s not just a one-bout showcase in primetime. Also featured will be Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez taking on Iuri Lapicus.
Lapicus is coming off of a title shot of his own as he failed to capture lightweight gold against Christian Lee. Although it had a rapid-fire pace, Lapicus put the champion in trouble before succumbing to the champ.
Alvarez had a rough start to his ONE career with a loss to Timofey Nastyukhin, but he quickly rebounded with a brilliant come-from-behind performance against Eduard Folayang.
The matchup is important for the lightweight division as Lapicus is the #2-ranked contender, and Alvarez has yet to crack the rankings. The winner will be in a prime position to be the top contender following a fantastic performance on a large global platform.
But that’s not all.
ONE will also showcase its ONE Super Series action with a non-title affair featuring ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon taking on Jacob Smith.
The American audience will get a shining example of Rodtang’s brilliance while Smith tries to shock the world with a massive upset.

The ONE Championship live on TNT card on April 7 may only feature three bouts, but they are three exceptional contests with some of the sport’s biggest names. The primetime platform will help ONE continue its incredible 2021 slate and put a spotlight on its top global superstars.
