ONE Championship has announced two captivating matchups for ONE Fight Night 40 on Friday, February 13, broadcasting live in U.S. primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion Jackie Buntan will defend her strap against Austria’s Stella Hemetsberger in a highly anticipated rematch. Their first battle in September 2025 was for the division’s vacant Muay Thai belt, which Hemetsberger claimed. The card also features 19-year-old Adrian Lee, who will attempt to rebound from his first career defeat. He will face Japan’s Shozo Isojima in lightweight MMA action.

Both matches at ONE Fight Night 40 carry significant implications. Buntan seeks redemption, Hemetsberger is pursuing two-sport glory, and two previously undefeated prospects look to bounce back from submission losses to the same opponent.

Filipino-American Champ Eyes Revenge at ONE Fight Night 40

The 28-year-old Buntan enters this title defense with a 27-7 professional striking record and 7-2 promotional mark built under her belt. The Filipino-American superstar has compiled impressive victories since her February 2021 promotional debut, establishing herself among the strawweight division’s most revered competitors.

Despite her success, Buntan has fallen short twice in attempts to capture Muay Thai gold, including the September 2025 unanimous decision loss to Hemetsberger for the vacant ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title. That defeat allowed the Austrian challenger to become her nation’s first-ever ONE titleholder while denying the Filipino-American star two-sport dominance.

Now holding the kickboxing throne, Buntan faces the ultimate test as Hemetsberger seeks to strip away her remaining belt at ONE Fight Night 40. The title defense represents the champion’s opportunity to prove her kickboxing superiority while exacting revenge for the Muay Thai setback that prevented her from achieving belts in dual sports.

Lee Family’s Youngest Member Ready to Bounce Back

ONE Fight Night 40 will also mark the return of Lee. The 19-year-old Hawaii-based phenom represents the Prodigy Training Center as the younger brother of two-division ONE MMA World Champion Christian Lee and now-retired former ONE Atomweight MMA World Champion Angela Lee.

Adrian captured three US$50,000 performance bonuses during his first three promotional victories, immediately establishing himself as one of mixed martial arts’ most exciting young stars.

However, his September 2025 challenge of ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo ended in submission defeat, as the California native handed the teenage sensation his first professional loss. The setback provided valuable lessons while testing his warrior mentality in the face of adversity.

Isojima presents an interesting matchup, as the 28-year-old also suffered his lone career defeat via rear-naked choke submission to Ruotolo.

Both fighters enter desperate to prove their defeats were temporary setbacks rather than indicators of championship limitations. The winner will regain momentum while positioning themselves favorably within the competitive lightweight MMA landscape, making this encounter critical for both competitors’ career trajectories.

ONE Fight Night 40 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, February 13. The action begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
