ONE: Unbreakable II, a previously recorded event that aired on Friday, January 29, was a martial arts fan’s dream event, with every single bout on the card ending in a finish.
ONE Championship‘s six-bout card in the Singapore Indoor Stadium featured five mixed martial arts affairs and one ONE Super Series contest, with only one of those bouts making it to the third round.
2021 is off to an incredible start.
ONE: Unbreakable II Recap
The lone ONE Super Series contest has given fans an early Knockout of the Year contender. Russia’s Beybulat Isaev connected with an overhand right on Mihajlo Kecojevic that rattled the Serb’s mouthpiece nearly out of his mouth and left him crumpled on the canvas.

In the main event, Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli grabbed a second-round finish against Abdulbasir Vagabov to state his case for a rematch against Brandon “The Truth” Vera.
Cerilli landed a huge leg kick early in the second round that put Vagabov on the canvas. All the Russian could do was cover up as Cerilli followed-up with ground and pound strikes. The referee was quick to halt the contest to avoid any unnecessary damage.
Daichi Takenaka got a rear-naked choke in the third round against Ivanildo “Monstrinho” Delfino to move a step closer to the flyweight rankings. The impressive showing against the Brazilian will make the rest of the division take notice.
In perhaps the night’s best bout, Chen “The Ghost” Rui and Kwon “Pretty Boy” Won Il went toe-to-toe in a bantamweight clash.
The first round featured back-and-forth action until “Pretty Boy” secured a takedown and got in mount. Although Rui survived, Kwon took full control of the bout from that point forward. He ran-up the striking tally in the second round before closing the show with three vicious left hooks to the body in the third and final round.
Sovannahry “The Sweet Savage” Em got back in the win column for herself and Cambodia with a second-round TKO in a catchweight bout. Em’s gameplan worked to perfection as she avoided the striking of Choi Jeong Yun. On the mat, Em controlled the action and got to a crucifix position where she could land repeated shots until the referee called the contest.
In the opening contest, Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane made an impressive debut against Alain “The Panther” Ngalani. The Senegal wrestling star avoided being drawn into a stand-up battle and used his grappling to control Ngalani. Kane leveled in strikes, and eventually, the referee made the call to halt the action and award “Reug Reug” the win.
