Pettis vs. Lauzon on UFC 144 in Japan

Another intriguing fight has been set in the UFC’s stacked lightweight division.  Anthony Pettis will be looking to continue on the road to regaining a number one contender spot as he takes on Joe Lauzon at UFC 144 on February 26, 2012 set at the iconic Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Pettis will try to take his UFC record above .500 after splitting his first 2 performances against top competition.  He lost to Clay Guida in his first UFC fight, but is now coming off a split decision win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 136.

In Lauzon’s last fight he stopped Melvin Guillard 5 fight winning streak via a rear naked choke in the first round.  With this win, Lauzon has proven himself to be part of lightweight title contender talk.
