Bad Influence Takes the Title at Week 9 of PLN’s Friday Night Fights

The lights were bright, the crowd was electric, and the slaps landed like thunder as Pro League Network’s Friday Night Fights returned to PLN Studios in Branson, Missouri for an unforgettable Week 9. With the SlapFight Light Heavyweight Championship on the line following Slim Reaper’s temporary departure, the stage was set for pure mayhem, and the fighters did not disappoint.

This card was stacked top-to-bottom, from brutal knockouts to nail-biting wars, and by the end of the night, the PLN faithful had witnessed the crowning of a brand-new king in the light heavyweight division.

PLN Week 9: Road to the Title

The championship journey kicked off with the Light Heavyweight Quarterfinals. First up, it was “Break It” Blake Howard stepping in against the wild-eyed powerhouse Psycho. Round 1 was pure chaos — both men trading savage shots, leaving the crowd unsure of who’d crack first. But in Round 2, Psycho unleashed a monster slap that sent Howard crashing to the canvas. KO. Lights out. The Branson crowd roared as Psycho punched his ticket to the title fight.

But first, the undercard delivered bombs.

Mallet, Young & Lavish, and Black Larry Steal the Spotlight in PLN Week 9

If one fight defined the grit of Friday Night Fights, it was Mallet vs. Smiley. What started as an even exchange quickly turned into a bloody war. Smiley dropped Mallet with a stinger early, but Mallet, shaking off the cobwebs, staged a savage comeback. They went nine full rounds before Smiley was forced to stop, his mouth split open and leaking from a nasty gash. TKO victory for Mallet, but the respect from the crowd was mutual, those men gave everything they had.

Then came Young & Lavish vs. The Fireman. What Young & Lavish put on was nothing short of a masterclass in controlled destruction. Every slap dug deeper, swelling The Fireman’s cheek to double its size. By Round 7, the doctor had seen enough, official stoppage. It was domination, plain and simple.

And in the main event before the championship clash, Black Larry absolutely manhandled Outlaw. The fight never found balance, Larry landed at will, putting Outlaw down three separate times before the referee called it in the fourth round under the three knockdown rule. One-way traffic. Another statement win for Black Larry, who continues to rise as a PLN superstar.

The Finale — Bad Influence Claims the PLN Crown

Finally, it was time for the Light Heavyweight Championship Finals, Psycho fresh off a KO, Bad Influence ready to prove why he belonged at the top. What followed was an all-out war. Psycho continued throwing dangerous bombs, landing flush more than once, but Bad Influence weathered the storm and countered with precision. Every round felt razor-close, with the crowd on their feet as the final slap landed.

When the scores were read, the judges saw it for Bad Influence, who claimed the vacant championship in a hard-fought decision. The gold was his, and the Branson crowd showered him in chants as he raised the belt high.

Week 9 had it all, blood, knockouts, medical stoppages, and a new champ crowned under the bright lights of PLN Studios. The only question now? How do they top this next week?
