PXC 35 Quick Results: Sarmiento retains Lightweight strap

PXC 35 went down this past Saturday, February 16th, at the Ynares Sports Arena situated in Pasig City, Philippines. This was  the Pacific Xtreme Combat’s first event of 2013.

In the main event, former Strikeforce veteran Harris Sarmiento defended his Lightweight strap successfully by submitting Isaiah Ordiz in the 1st stanza. The 29-year-old is now 3-2 in his last 5 bouts, all of which have come under the PXC banner.

In the 2nd featured bout of the evening, Louis Smolka earned his shot to fight for the PXC Flyweight championship after defeating Alvin Cacdac via Rear-Naked Choke in the 3rd round. Smolka will now face current PXC Flyweight Champion, Ale Cali, at PXC 37.
