PXC's Dustin Kimura pens a deal with the UFC; faces Chico Camus at UFC 156

Dustin Kimura (9-0) is now the latest PXC fighter to be signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, following the footsteps of Jon Tuck and Hyun Gyu  Lim.

The Hawaiian Featherweight prospect is set to grace the world’s famous octagon for the first time at UFC 156, against Roufusport’s Chico Camus. UFC 156 is set to take place on February 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Defending champion Jose Aldo contests former Lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, for the Featherweight strap in the featured bout of the night.

Kimura is unbeaten in his professional MMA career thus far and has finished 8 of his 9 bouts. Although Kimura’s known for his grappling and submission prowess, the Hawaiian native showcased his stand-up skills in his last outing at PXC 34 against former Shooto veteran Guy Delumeau and managed to garner a KO late in the 3rd stanza. That ‘Fight of the Night’ performance had certainly impressed fans and critics alike, and even caught the attention of UFC match-maker, Joe Silva.

PXC continues to groom some of the world’s top prospects and has already established itself as one of the leading promotions in the region.

PXC CEO, E.J Calvo said, “We produced 6 very successful PXC events in 2012, and already have plans for 8 this year, with potential for several more. Our talented PXC roster of fighters will consistently be given great opportunities and if they are signed to the UFC, we will not have a problem recruiting the future stars of the sport.”
