Rampage Jackson misses weight, blames injuries

At yesterdays (Feb.24) UFC 144 weigh-ins, former UFC lightheavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson failed to make weight for his fight against Ryan Bader. He didn’t just fail to make weight, he missed by 5 pounds.

Rampage weighed in at 211lbs and will forfeit 20% of his purse to his opponent, Ryan Bader. Jackson explained to Ariel Helwani that he had a number of injuries during training camp which led to him being unable to cut enough weight. He also stated that it was the most weight he has ever had to cut for a fight.
