ROAD FC opens Young Guns 29 undercard with 7 fights

2 September, 2016 – ROAD Fighting Championship is excited to announce the full card for Young Guns 29, the preliminaries for Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 on 24 September, 2016.

Young powerhouses Cho Young-Seung (5-0, Apgujeong Gym) and Jang Dae-Young (2-1, Von Jiujitsu) will face each other in the Main Event. Cho has been away from the cage and focusing on honing his skills, while Jang was recovering from a broken hand.

Yang Junkai (2-1, Guangdong Rong Yue Boji Lei Yu) and Jang Ik-Hwan (3-1, Team Posse) will meet in a catchweight match. Both are riding 2-fight win streaks, so expect these up and comers to bring their striking A games.

Lee Hoo-Sun (3-1, Von Jiujitsu) and Kim Se-Yeong (1-0, Team Gangnam/Apgujeong) will bring a wealth of experience even with their short records. Lee started in Spirit MC 8 years ago, and Kim is the amateur Central League runner up. Both are well-rounded with Lee’s grappling looking to be the top factor for him while Kim will use overpowering strength.

Lee Jeong-Young (1-0, Ssen Gym) and Baik Seung-Min (1-2, Korean Zombie MMA) is youth vs experience as strong amateur winner Lee faces boxer Baik.

Oh-Jae-Sung (4-3, Team Fighter) and Kim Ji-Hun (debut, Red Hook Multi Gym) will be at middleweight, as Oh is returning from a layoff and jumping up a division to meet Kim, who has been very impress in the amateur Central League.

Kim Kyu-Hwa (4-6, Pohang BD Fight) and Kim Tae-Gyun (1-2, Team Finish) will be a battle of two hot flyweights. Kyu-Hwa is finally returning to ROAD FC with experience fighting in Japan, and Tae-Gyun is looking to start a win streak in his professional career.

Stuart Gooch (1-3, Kim Dae-Hwan MMA) and Choi Won-Jun (1-1, Seodaemun Geusang Dojang) meet at welterweight to start off the show with a hard-hitting bang. Gooch has a wealth of experience in England’s EFC, and Choi will look to keep up his momentum with a third fight in 2016.

The first Openweight Tournament is coming to a close with K-1 champ “Mighty Mo” Siliga versus K-1 and PRIDE veteran Choi Hong-Man as the Main Event..

In the co-Main Event, fan favorites Hong Young-Ki of “Crying Fist” and Uesako Hiroto of  “Road to UFC: Japan” will meet at Featherweight.

Plus, two of the hottest bantamweights in Asia face off when top Korean prospect Kim Min-Woo takes on Shooto Pacific Rim Champion Yuta Nezu.

Top ROAD FC Lightweight rankers Shinji Sasaki and Bruno Miranda, both 3-0, will face off with the winner likely to get the next Lightweight title shot.

Park “Parky” Won-Sik will return again at lightweight against Japan’s quickly rising Ukyo Abe .

Fan favorite Nandin Erdene “Oka” versus amateur Central League champ Ki Won-Bin is a match that will cause an uproar in the stadium in an instant classic.

In a women’s -54kg catchweight match China’s Lin Heqin will face South Korea’s Kim Hae-In in a bout that will pit rivaling countries in their homegrown sports of Sanda and Taekwondo.

The opening fight for Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 will be a middleweight slugfest as Kim Nae-Chul and “Special Force” Park Jung-Kyo break back into the cage after a year.
