Roland Delorme vs. Francisco Rivera booked for UFC 149

Roland Delorme finally gets an opponent for UFC 149.

Word on the street was that Delorme was originally supposed to face off against Bibiano Fernandes. However, we later learned that Fernandes had never signed with the organization.

UFC officials announced on Wednesday that Delorme would be heading into the octagon against Francisco Rivera at UFC 149 on July 21 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Delorme was a contestant on the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter. He was eliminated by eventual finalist T.J. Dillashaw. Most recently he beat fellow Canadian Nick Denis via first round rear naked choke.

Rivera picked up his first UFC win at UFC on FUEL TV 3, where he beat Alex Soto by unanimous decision.

UFC 149 will be headlined by a interim bantamweight title fight between Urijah Faber and Renan Barao.
