Ronda Rousey is set for a return to action, this time in a boxing match against Katie Taylor. First reported by BoxingScene, the two women are in talks for a clash in 2026, set to take place in Las Vegas. The report states that the bout, if confirmed, will take place in the Summer of next year.

Ronda Rousey vs Katie Taylor

There’s no doubting that Ronda Rousey is a mega star. She’s the biggest star in the history of women’s MMA and has been widely acknowledged as the person who brought women into the UFC.

In her prime, she was a force to be reckoned with, progressing to 12-0 with 12 finishes before it all came crashing down against Holly Holm in 2015. Rousey was never known for her boxing, despite claims that she could have beaten Floyd Mayweather. Her lack of striking ability was exposed in a 48 second blow-out at the hands of Amanda Nunes when Rowdy returned to action.

She retired and wrote in her second book that she had suffered concussion like symptoms for much of her career in the UFC, especially after the Holm knockout.

Katie Taylor is the Irish sweetheart of the boxing world. She holds a professional record of 25-1, avenging her only loss immediately afterwards. She’s a two-time undisputed world champion and is coming off the trilogy bout with rival, Amanda Serrano.

Discussing what’s next, Taylor told BoxingScene:
I’m not too sure – waiting to see what happens. I’m ready to fight whenever, really, and take on whatever challenge comes next. Right now, I’m waiting to see what that is. Any of the big names, any of the big fights – I’m ready to take on them all.”

At 39, many believed The Bray Bomber would hang them up after her epic trilogy with Serrano, however, a big money fight with Ronda Rousey could tempt her into one last camp!
