Roy Jones Jr. gives Rashad Evans pointers leading up to UFC 145

Deerfield Beach, Fla. – Number one UFC light heavyweight contender “Suga” Rashad Evans has Georgia on his mind as he arrives in Atlanta today for the final countdown to UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans. In five days, fight fans will discover the moment of truth in what has become one of the longest running sagas in the sport of MMA.

“One of the biggest things of my life that has happened to this date is that someone like Roy (Jones, Jr.) came in and gave me some pointers, and some advice,” said Evans.  “Boxing and MMA is different in some respect, but at the same time, you can pick up little jewels that he is putting out there. This has become like Ali and Frazer training camp, wherever everybody is sitting and watching you, and watching….it is crazy.”

Produced and edited by Ryan Loco, “Georgia on my Mind” documents never before seen moments of Evans reflecting on the significance of this Saturday night, reveals a few surprise training partners, visitors as well as intimate thoughts on life as a professional athlete.
