Sam Stout vs. John Makdessi set for UFC 154 in Montreal

Two Canadian fighters are set to do battle inside the octagon at UFC 154. Sam Stout and John Makdessi will square off in a lightweight battle.

UFC officials announced the match-up on Friday.

Stout (17-8-1) is 3-1 over his last 4 fights, winning Knockout of the Night and Fight of the Night honors in two of them. He looks to make it two in a row in Montreal.

Makdessi (9-2) has lost 2 in a row and is looking to get back in the win column. Both bouts were catch-weights, as Dennis Hallman missed weight in their fight and unfortunately Makdessi missed weight in his last fight.

UFC 154 is set to go down on November 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. It is expected to be headlined by a unification bout for the UFC welterweight title between champ Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit.
