SFL 14: The Aftermath, Results and News

Super Fight League returned this past Friday and aired live, not only via the internet but also on ESPN STAR Sports in India. SFL 14 did not disappoint, as fans were treated to seven fantastic fights.

SFL 14: The Aftermath

In the main event UFC veteran Xavier Foupa-Pokam (24-18) took it to former Bellator fighter John Troyer (14-8) and wound up with the early TKO to be crowned the  SFL Middleweight Champion.

The co-main event was for the SFL Women’s Flyweight title. A very aggressive fight took place between two of SFL’s best women and in the end Colleen Schneider (4-4) earned the title by securing a key lock submission against Sanja Sucevic (4-2) in the third round.

Other notable fights:

In an unfortunate turn of events, Mohammed Shahid (1-1) was disqualified from his bout with Vikas Singh Ruhil (1-1) at just 20-seconds of the very first round for an illegal knee to a grounded opponent.

The most impressive bout of the night was between Jason Ramesh Solomon (2-0)  and Rouhollah Eidehlouei (0-3). The New Delhi native, Solomon, took it to Eidehlouei early and wound up submitting him with punches in the very first round.
