The 23rd installment of the Super Fight League aired this past Friday, August 3oth, on Star Sports India. The event was uploaded on YouTube, as part of the promotion’s new initiative in which four bouts will be showcased on a weekly basis.
SFL 23 saw the return of the hotly-tipped, Irfan Khan. He has been one of the promotion’s fastest growing MMA superstars of late, but on Friday, he suffered the first setback of his career against Khwaja Mohibsa. The bout went all three rounds, but it was Mohibsa who took the plaudits this time around. The 2nd frame of this bout was described by officials as “probably one of the most hard fought MMA rounds in all of SFL to date”.

Ritika Singh suffered yet another blow, with her latest setback coming against Daizy Singh. While the latter continues to enjoy this unbeaten start to her Mixed Martial Arts career, it’s back to the drawing board for Singh, who has now suffered two consecutive defeats.
