Shauna Bannon was in need of a win at UFC London and it wasn’t looking good for Mama B. After a close first round where the side kick was the dominant weapon, Bannon got dropped, heavily, with a brutal head kick from her opponent, Puja Tomar. The 31 year old was a matter of shots from getting stopped, however, managed to pull off an epic comeback to all but guarantee her a 50K bonus from the UFC brass.
Shauna Bannon pulls off a huge comeback!
Managing to defend herself intelligently enough in order to keep the referee from stepping in and stopping things, Shauna Bannon locked in a nasty armbar. Despite seemingly losing the position, ruling out of the submission, Bannon adjusted her technique and forced the tap from Tomar.

The submission marks the first of her professional career, extends her winning run to two straight after losing on her debut and gives her a tonne of confidence. It’s been a good night for the Irish so far, with Caolan Loughran getting the split decision victory earlier in the night.
