Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Chris Clements added to UFC 149 with Thiago Alves hurt

The UFC 149 fight card has gone through some major changes over the past few weeks.

A bout between Thiago Alves and Yoshihiro Akiyama was originally scheduled for the main card of UFC 149. However, the injury bug hit Akiyama and he was forced to withdraw from the fight. The UFC then threw Siyar Bahadurzada in against Thiago Alves.

Well, that was until last week, when Thiago Alves was injured during practice. This threw another loophole in the already jumbled up UFC 149 card.

Earlier today UFC.com announced that Chris Clements would step in on short notice to take on Bahadurzada on the main card of UFC 149 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Clements (11-4) made his octagon debut back at UFC 145, where he picked up a split decision victory over Keith Wisniewski. He is currently on a five fight win streak and looking to make it six.

Bahadurzada (21-4-1) is also coming off a win against Paulo Thiago back at UFC on FUEL TV 2 in Sweden.
