Social Gloves makes its return this weekend. After a controversial first show in 2021, the promotion’s leader Austin McBroom will headline a comeback event against YouTube boxing pioneer AnEsonGib. The pair have shared a tense rivalry over the past year due to an accusation of match-fixing following Gib’s bout with Taylor Holder. Gib has promised a finish to ensure it can’t happen again.

The undercard for this event will see NFL legend Adrian Peterson take on fellow American football player Le’Veon Bell. Neither of these men have fought in the past but the athletic prowess of both is sure to lead to something interesting.
NBA veteran Nick “Swaggy P” Young makes his debut in the sport against late replacement Minikon. Young was originally scheduled to fight Blueface but he pulled out on just 24 hours notice. Minikon, 0-1 in boxing, has made clear his intention to take a run at the influencer scene in the coming years.
Austin McBroom’s younger brother Landon McBroom will face Adam Saleh—both YouTubers. Saleh will have the edge in experience inside the ring, having competed in 31 amateur bouts. McBroom, coming off a TKO victory over Ben Azelart, says this fight will be easier than his last.
Opening the main card are Cody Wharton and Chase Demoor. Wharton made his name on reality TV shows in America, while Demoor was a well-regarded college football player. Both have never boxed before.
