Superbon Eyes Allazov-Grigorian Winner After Latest KO Win

Superbon Singha Mawynn stunned the martial arts community with his picture-perfect head kick knockout at ONE Fight Night 11 over Tayfun Ozcan. The former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion made a statement in his first match back since losing the strap. But competing in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in front of the Bangkok audience was just as memorable for the ONE Championship superstar.

“I feel like all my people, the Thai people, they’re watching me. They want me to be the winner and to show the world Thai people and Thailand and where Muay Thai is. Yeah, I’m so proud of that,” Superbon told ONE.

Superbon unsurprisingly called for a rematch with Chingiz Allazov in the post-match interview. The Thai star wants to reclaim the gold, but he also wants to erase the taste of defeat. However, Allazov already has an August 4 date set with Marat Grigorian for his first title defense at ONE Fight Night 13.

But that will not stop Superbon from breaking down his last match against Allazov. His focus will remain on the current champion for the time being. And Superbon is adamant that a rematch would play out differently than their first encounter.

“It’s going to be different because I saw my mistake from the last fight. We need to go back and practice and train. And we will show you how we will do it. I cannot tell you today, but I will show you during the fight,” Superbon stated.

Although Superbon wants to get another crack at Allazov, he wants to bring the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title back to Thailand. The razor-thin margins for the ONE Fight Night 13 main event leaves Superbon unsure of who he will be eyeing for a future title tilt. It could be anyone’s match, according to the former divisional king.

“It’s a 50-50 fight for me. Yeah, they fought before. They beat each other. Marat has beaten him before. I’m not sure about the fight. But whoever wins and has the belt, I want to take the belt first,” Superbon said.

Superbon will have to wait until August 4 to find out what is next for him. But regardless of who comes out on top, he has a clear plan to take the gold and face off with Allazov one more time. Whether it comes right away or not, Superbon wants to ensure both Allazov and Grigorian that he is the true top dog in the featherweight division.

“I hope you guys have a good fight. I will watch closely. I want to take everything from you guys,” Superbon said.

ONE Fight Night 13 airs live from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on August 4. The action will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The Prime Video event is free for all Amazon Prime members based in the U.S. and Canada.
