The UFC 162 fight card which will take place on Independence Day weekend is quickly filling up. On Wednesday the UFC announced that Anderson Silva would take on Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight championship in the main event of the evening. Three more fights have been added to the expanding card.
The number one contender for Anderson Silva's middleweight championship has been a toss up for the past month or so. Many fans and critics think that the undefeated Chris Weidman should get the next shot. Then when Rashad Evans came out of the woodwork and said he wanted to fight Silva for his title, UFC President Dana White said he would have to wait until after UFC 156 to see who was next.
