At todays UFC 137 Press Conference, Dana White made the announcement that Nick Diaz has lost his opportunity to fight for the welterweight championship against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 137 and will be replaced by Carlos Condit.
Miami, Fla. - Rising MMA stars Ben “Smooth” Henderson and “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit have agreed to new multi-fight contracts with the UFC, First Round Management President and CEO Malki Kawa announced. Terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
In just over two months time Nick Diaz will be taking on Georges St-Pierre for his UFC Welterweight Championship. In the co-main event on October 29 will be Carlos Condit vs BJ Penn for the possible number one contender in the division.
