UFC 140 Aftermath

If you ask anyone at MMASucka.com, I make the worst fight picks. We even have the numbers to back this up. I can admit that I choose my picks very emotionally, especially when it comes to fighters whom I have been cheering for years that I have invested money into purchasing their swag, and time in waiting in line ups for autographs. No matter how lop sided a match will be out of their favor, I am still hoping that they will come out on the positive side of "anything can happen". For UFC 140, I went an awesome 1-4 on the main card with the help of some great performances by Chan Sung Jung, Brian Ebersole, Little Nog and Frank Mir. Jon Jones was my only saving grace, but even he gave me a first round heart attack. Although I didn't do so well, I do see the silver lining. Through these wins, there are some very interesting match ups that now make sense for the UFC to put together.

UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida Quick Results

UFC 140 goes down today (Dec.10) at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The main event features Jon Jones vs. Lyoto Machida for the light heavyweight championship. The Nogueira brothers are both in action, with Big Nog vs. Frank Mir and Lil Nog vs. Tito Ortiz. Round out the main card are two Canadian showdowns with Claude Patrick vs. Brian Ebersole and Mark Hominick vs. Chan Sung Jung.

Half-Cut Picks: UFC 140 – Jones vs. Machida

It's another edition of Half-Cut picks where I make stupid choices. I never claimed to be able to read the future, but I will tell you that the fights tonight are going to be awesome. At UFC 139 I went a miserable (2-3). Maybe it was good that I had a few weeks to stew on it before UFC 140 in Toronto, Ontario. It was probably expected since I went (4-1) at UFC on FOX. Nonetheless we will rebound with a solid Half-Cut Picks for this upcoming card.

Machida Confident He Can Solve the Jones Puzzle

Last time Lyoto Machida was in Toronto, he wasn't exactly the crowd favourite. He had the misfortune of being matched against one of the sport's most beloved fighters ever, Randy "The Natural" Couture. What's more, he took a move straight out of "The Karate Kid" and crane kicked Couture directly into retirement.
