The UFC announced that former TUF 1 bad boy Chris Leben tested positive for the painkllers Oxymorphone and Oxycodone after his loss at UFC 138 to Mark Munoz. As a result, Leben has been suspended for one year by the promotion.
It is expected to be announced in the next few days that Mark Munoz will face off against Chael Sonnen for the number one contender status in the middleweight division. This fight is expected to headline the UFC on Fox 2 card on Jan. 28 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Since Anderson Silva is expected to be inactive until mid 2012 due to injury, the UFC had to find another option for Chael Sonnen. The so-called "People's Champ" is rumored to be facing off against Mark Munoz in a number one contender fight at the UFC on Fox 2 card.

As cliche as it may be, styles make fights. We should all know this by now, especially the media. It's not how big a draw the fighters are in the main event, or how many top 10 fighters are on the card. In the weeks leading up to the fight it was amazing to see how many articles were about how Munoz and Leben were not worthy of main event status. The position would be understandable if the UFC was trying to market the card as a pay-per-view, but it was free! Why gripe about free fights?
