UFC on FUEL TV 9 will be the first of four events in the month of April.
The organization will take to the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden with a main event between Gegard Mousasi and late replacement Ilir Latifi.
As you are all well aware of, the SMMAF Medical Committee has pulled UFC Light Heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson from his main event battle against Gegard Mousasi at UFC on FUEL TV 9 this Saturday night. White sent a photo out of Gustafsson on his official Twitter account and was not too pleased.
As stated earlier this week the UFC on FUEL TV 9 main event was in jeopardy due to a cut above Alexander Gustafsson’s left eye which occurred during wrestling practice.
The UFC has been adding fights to UFC on FUEL TV 9, which is their second go round in Sweden and fans have taken notice. The event according to UFC President Dana White has sold out in just a few hours.
Over the past few days the UFC bass has been building up its return card to Sweden. On Saturday three more match-ups were added to the UFC on FUEL TV 9 card, as Matt Mitrione goes to battle with Philip De Fries, Ben Alloway takes on Ryan LaFlare and former Strikeforce fighter Ryan Couture will go against Ross Pearson.
