Wow if things couldn't get even more bizarre, according to MMAFighting.com, Lyoto Machida has turned down a title fight with Jon Jones that was tentatively scheduled for UFC 152 in Toronto, Ontario. Jones, who came under fire by fans and UFC President Dana White for not taking a very short notice fight with Chael Sonnen, is now fighting Vitor Belfort on September 22nd.
Apparently making weight at 170 wasn't the problem for Anthony "Rumble" Johnson. It's making weight period.
Johnson, who had a history of problems making weight while fighting at welterweight, hit the scales at 197 pounds for his middleweight bout against Vitor Belfort. Belfort made weight at 186.
