UFC officials announced the match-up and the event on Monday.

Hunt (9-8) lost his UFC debut against Sean McCorkle at UFC 119 which had his MMA record at 5-7. He followed up with four straight victories and led him to the biggest fight of his UFC career against Junior dos Santos at UFC 160. Unfortunately his winning streak came to a hault when dos Santos landed a spinning back kick to end Hunt’s night.

Silva (16-4) is coming off a loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 160. He earned the rematch against Velasquez by defeating Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem.

UFC Fight Night 33 will go down on December 7 from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in the Queensland capital. No other fights have been announced for the card.
