Todd Duffee medically cleared to fight; wants Anthony Hamilton upon return

UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee will look to return to the Octagon, as he has been medically cleared to fight.

The AKA product was diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner Syndrome (PTS), which is a rare neurological disorder, late last year. According to UFC Tonight, Duffee has been officially cleared to fight and wants to take on Anthony Hamilton upon his return.

Duffee (8-2) was released from the UFC in 2010 for unknown reasons. There were plenty of rumors, however after fighting for DREAM and Super Fight League, the heavyweight was re-signed to the organization and defeated Phil De Fries at UFC 155 in December of 2012.

Following the De Fries fight it was revealed that Duffee had fought with a serious injury and was forced out of action for all of 2013. Shortly after he returned to training, he was diagnosed with PTS and took the next six months off.

He has requested a fight with “Freight Train” for his first contest back.

Hamilton (13-3) made his UFC debut in June when he was stopped in the first round by Alexey Oleinik. In his sophomore appearance, the 34-year-old defeated Ruan Potts via second round TKO due to punches to the body.

No word on when and if the Duffee vs. Hamilton bout will take place.
