TWebb MMA, led by Bayou Fighting Championship lightweight champion, Thomas Webb, will send another competitor into battle as Donald Wilkinson makes his MMA debut Saturday, November 10, 2018, at WFC 97 inside the Cypress Bayou Casino in Charenton, Louisiana. Wilkinson is set to take on Mitchell Dague.
Donald Wilkinson Debut Bout
If there is an MMA event in Louisiana, you can bet TWebb MMA will be represented. WFC 97 will be no different. Wilkinson has been training Karate and jiu-jitsu since his junior year of high school and is continuing to develop his game under the tutelage of one of Louisiana’s finest, Thomas Webb. Many fighters fight for different reasons. Wilkinson fights for respect. “I’ve always loved the fighting sport and I’ve always been a very nice guy,” Wilkinson told MMA Sucka. “I just wanted to gain some respect from people and show everyone what I can do.”
A Solid Team and Mental Mindset
TWebb MMA is truly home to Wilkinson. “The team is great. I loved every minute since I started. We are a family of killers with a brotherly bond. When the door closes and the bell rings, I’m going to do what coach wants me to do. Keep my distance, use my kicks, and knock his ass out!” Wilkinson told MMA Sucka. As with many of his fighters, Webb’s coaching and personality resonates. “My biggest influences would have to be my team members and Coach Webb. I feel he has prepared me both mentally and physically for this fight. He expects me to do what I’m set out to do since I’m the youngest on the team.”
It is always a fun thing to witness a new, young prospect make their debut. Coming from a camp like TWebb MMA, Wilkinson is ready for his debut or he would not be placed in the cage.
