The UFC 324 headliner is yet to be announced, despite being rumoured to be just two months away. It’s understood that the first numbered card of the year, UFC 324 will go down on January 24th 2026 live from the T-Mobile Arena.

The reason this card is so big is that it marks the first ‘big’ card (be it not a fight night) of the new era. UFC 324 will be the first event that the UFC put out on Paramount+, kicking off their seven-year deal. The assumption is that they’re going to want a huge headliner and two huge headliners have been rumoured in the past 24 hours.
First Rumour for UFC 324
The first rumour as to who will headline UFC 324 comes from Tim Wheaton, who put out there that light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira will return to make the first defence of his second title reign against top contender, Carlos Ulberg.
This is not yet confirmed, but I am hearing rumors that the UFC is aiming for Alex Pereira vs. Carlos Ulberg at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for January 24, UFC 324. pic.twitter.com/qTSGdMYLJB

The fight makes a lot of sense as Ulberg is enjoying a nine fight winning run, however, this one comes with a slight caveat. After blasting away Magomed Ankalaev in a little over a minute in October, Pereira appeared to injure his foot. He was spotted backstage with his foot in a boot, suggesting that it was either injured beforehand or during the fight itself.
This could keep him out of action for a prolonged period of time, not making a January date possible.
Bantamweight Showdown?
Ariel Helwani reported on Monday that a bantamweight clash between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes will headline UFC 324 and that the Pereira vs Ulberg fight will not be happening on the same date.
Helwani said: “It sounds as of now that [the Ilia Topuria] fight isn’t scheduled for January. What I’m hearing the plan is, front runner – Kayla vs Amanda. Could they do both? Sure. But I’m not hearing that that’s a part of the mix.”

We know that this is more than likely going to be the next fight for both women. Nunes re-entered the testing pool after retirement and has been tested twice this year and Harrison has wiped out all contenders in the division thusfar. The only competitive match-up for the American would be Nunes, however, this fight would make a lot of sense for the White House card. Harrison is a US Olympic gold medalist and could really fly the flag for USA at such a historic event.
Whoever headlines UFC 324, expect the event to be huge for the first event on Paramount+!
