UFC 144 Prelims best showing yet

The numbers are in for the UFC 144 prelims which aired on FX this past Saturday (Feb.25). With things just getting under way with the 7 year partnership between the UFC and FOX, it looks like things are moving forward rather well. This go around the UFC drew in an average of 1.5 million viewers.

With things starting off slow on FX when the first telecast for UFC 142 had an average of only 880,000 viewers in January it had people a little worried. Things picked up with UFC 143 on Super Bowl weekend with 1.4 million viewers and this past Saturday UFC 144 topped that off at 1.5 million.

The two-hour FX prelim event featured four fights with the first two going to decisions, one submission and Gomi having an amazing come from behind TKO victory over Eiji Mitsuoka to cap off the prelims.
