UFC 149 possibly going down in Calgary, Alberta

From what sources are saying, including MMAJunkie.com and “Showdown” Joe Ferraro of Sportsnet‘s “UFC Central”, Canada’s first UFC event of the year will likely go down in Calgary, Alberta.

The event which is still rumoured is apparently scheduled for July 21 and will likely take place at the 19,000-seat Scotiabank Saddledome.

Though no official card has been announced, it is rumoured to be a PPV card with prelims airing in Canada on Rogers Sportsnet and in the US on FX.

The Scotiabank Saddledome is home to the Calgary Flames. The city has never hosted a UFC event, but with 1.1 million residents I’m sure it will be a guarantee sell out. Keep it locked to MMASucka.com for more about the Calgary event as it goes down.
