UFC 177 goes down on Saturday from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.
Headlining the bout is the hometown kid T.J. Dillashaw who will look to defend his UFC Bantamweight Championship against the man he beat to take the belt, Renan Barao. Another Sacramento native will take to the Octagon in the co-main event, as Danny Castillo takes on Tony Ferguson.

If you have never played Kountermove before, it’s very simple — you have $25,000 to spend. To make the most of your money, you will more than likely not be able to take more than one favorite. With a team of five, you will look to stay at about a $5,000 average
Best Bets
This fight card is so evenly matched that there aren’t really any best bets. However if I had to give a couple that would be easier to bet on then here they are below.
Bethe Correia ($5000) – Is a middle of the pack price pick on the fight card, but she should be on your betting list.
Correia is undefeated at 8-0 and has beaten two beasts inside the Octagon in both of her UFC bouts. At UFC Fight Night 33 she defeated Julie Kedzie in a very close split decision and followed that bout up with a unanimous decision against Jessamyn Duke.
She is known to go to the decision in all but one of her contests and against Shayna Baszler that will likely be no different. Baszler is a true veteran of the sport, but Correia should be able to take her down and grind away with her ground and pound making this a great bet.
Carlos Diego Ferreira ($5100) – Ferriera much like Correia is undefeated in his MMA career at 10-0.
The Brazilian is a submission ace with six of his ten victories coming by that method. Ramsey Nijem is no joke, but neither was Colton Smith who Ferreira defeated in just 38-seconds by rear-naked choke.
There will be no cobwebs coming into this bout for Ferreira, as it’s his sophomore outing, so look for him to be even sharper in this match-up. How that is possible, when he won his UFC debut in just over 30-seconds? Who knows.
Underdog Picks
Danny Castillo ($4300) – Coming over from the now defunct WEC put some pressure on Castillo and after going 1-1 in his first two Octagon appearances, the Team Alpha Male product went on a three-fight winning streak.
He now holds a 7-3 record under the UFC banner and is inching himself ever so close to UFC title contention. Most recently he finished Charlie Brenneman at UFC 172 by second round knockout.
Ferguson is a very durable opponent, so we should expect a war between these two. However Castillo has shown he has rocks for hands, so a finish could be imminent at any point in the three rounds.
Scott Jorgensen ($4600) – Jorgensen bounced back from a three-fight losing skid in his last bout against Danny Martinez in June.
Sitting at just $4600 he could be the true underdog pick for the entire card. His striking skills, his submission game and his ground game can push any fighter in the bantamweight division.
