UFC 185’s Elias Theodorou calls Roger Narvaez’ record “bloated”

While many know him for his hair and for greeting his mother mid-fight in his official UFC debut, but Elias Theodorou also has the verbal skills necessary to stand out from the pack. The TUF Nations middleweight winner did not mince words when asked about his UFC 185 opponent, Roger Narvaez. When asked about his preparation and game-planning for the fight, “The Spartan” let loose with a series of verbal jabs towards “The Silverback.”

“I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t watched his (Roger Narvaez’) fights and basically picked apart the Sherdog vortex of his record. A lot of his wins are over bloated 170ers who barely have a winning record, and that’s to his detriment. Some people, unfortunately, take the boxing mentality where they need to inflate their records to a certain point. I think it’s to their detriment in a sense. That knockout (Narvaez KO loss to Patrick Cummins) was basically the first time he fought a UFC-calibre fighter. If you go into his last fight, which was a win against a fellow Ultimate Fighter winner Luke Barnatt, that was more about Luke losing than Roger winning.”

Theodorou had more to say on his fight preparation, life, hair, and Robin Black, and you can hear it all on this week’s edition of Sucka Radio.
