Macy Chiasson Misses Weight Ahead of UFC 320

Friday morning’s weigh-in window was not one without its hiccups, however. While Saturday night’s women’s bantamweight fight pitting Macy Chiasson (137 1/2 lbs) and Yana Santos (135 lbs) will go ahead, it’ll do so after the former came in 1 1/2 lbs over the 136-lb nontitle maximum.

As a result of Chiasson’s weight miss, she will cede 25 percent of her purse to Santos. Subsequently, Chiasson will also be ineligible for any post-fight bonuses tomorrow night at the press conference.

Main, Co-Main Events Cleared for Takeoff at UFC 320

UFC 320 is headlined by championship fights in both the main and co-main events of the evening. Both contests are good to go for tomorrow night.

Your main event will see the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at stake between current titleholder Magomed Ankalaev (204 1/2 lbs) and No. 1 contender Alex Pereira (204 1/2 lbs.) Both champion and challenger weighed-in within the 205-lb championship maximum on Friday.

Meanwhile, the co-main event of tomorrow night’s show takes place at bantamweight. Incumbent UFC Bantamweight Champion Merab Dvalishvili (135 lbs) weighed-in on-target, with No. 4 contender Cory Sandhagen (134 1/2 lbs) coming in slightly below the maximum.
