Interesting Post-Event Tidbits About UFC 323

At UFC 323, the final pay-per-view event for the foreseeable future for the promotion, history was made. Across the main card for the show, two titles changed hands in both disappointing and amazing fashion, a flyweight titan was stopped for the first time and one MMA legend finally walked off into the sunset. While it isn’t the last time the UFC will grace viewer televisions in 2025, UFC 323 still played out as a memorable sendoff to one of the most exciting years in the company’s history.

Now, let’s take a look at some interesting post-event tidbits for the main card of UFC 323.

UFC 323: Jan Błachowicz vs. Bogdan Guskov

Jan Błachowicz

He has not won a bout since UFC Vegas 54 back in 2022.

Bogdan  Guskov

His draw with Błachowicz was the first draw of his professional career. It’s also the most he had ever been hit in a UFC test, absorbing 84 significant strikes.

In his six fights with the UFC, he has fought in Las Vegas three times.

UFC 323: Payton Talbott def. Henry Cejudo

Payton Talbott

Talbott’s win over Cejudo is his second in a row after previously beating Felipe Lima earlier this year. It is also his first victory over a ranked contender

His addition to the UFC 323 main card served as his fourth consecutive appearance at a pay-per-view event.

Henry Cejudo

Cejudo’s UFC 323 loss to Talbott was his fourth straight defeat. It was also the first time he had lost to an unranked adversary in his entire UFC tenure.

He enters his second retirement with a company record of 10-6.

UFC 323: Tatsuro Taira def. Brandon Moreno

Tatsuro Taira

Taira’s UFC 323 win over Moreno is his sixth by knockout, as well as his second consecutive finish victory. Throughout this nine-fight run in the organization, he has solely competed on cards hosted in Las Vegas.

His last four triumphs in the cage have all ended in the second round.

Brandon Moreno

Moreno’s loss to Taira was the first stoppage defeat of his professional career. Longtime fans of the UFC will remember how he was choked out by Alexandre Pantoja back during their time on The Ultimate Fighter Season 24, but that scrap was an exhibition.

He is now 2-3 in his last five tilts. His UFC record now stands at 11-6-2.

UFC 323: Joshua Van def. Alexandre Pantoja

Joshua Van

Van’s UFC 323 win over Pantoja is his sixth in a row since July 2024. It’s also the 10th stoppage victory of his professional career, in addition to being the fastest knockout in a UFC flyweight championship match at just 26 seconds.

He is the first Burmese-born UFC champion, along with being the second youngest title-holder in the company’s history behind Jon Jones.

Alexandre Pantoja

His loss to Van was his first since UFC Fight Night 172 back in 2020. Additionally this was the first loss of his professional career coming by way of finish.

He had previously won his last eight contests in a row and had defended his flyweight strap four times.

UFC 323: Petr Yan def. Merab Dvalishvili

Petr Yan

Yan’s UFC 323 win over Dvalishvili is his fourth straight inside the Octagon. It’s also his first in a title bout since claiming the interim bantamweight belt over Cory Sandhagen back in 2021 at UFC 267.

He’s now 3-2 in UFC championship fights, as well as the third man in the promotion’s bantamweight division history to become a two-time undisputed champion.

Merab Dvalishvili

His loss to Yan was his first setback in the cage since facing Ricky Simón at UFC Fight Night 128 back in 2018. It also was the first time he had been outstruck in a bout since losing to Frankie Saenz at UFC Fight Night 123 in 2017.

The now-former champ’s previous win streak amounted to 14 in a row. He’s now 4-1 in UFC championship contests.
