UFC adds Jussier da Silva to the flyweight division

The most recent addition to the UFC flyweight division is Jussier da Silva. In a recent interview, da Silva confirmed that he had indeed been signed by the organization and would test his skills in the flyweight division. Da Silva and his manager, Andre Pederneiras, made the announcement in an interview.

The 14-1 fighter has one lone loss on his record and that is to current UFC flyweight fighter Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall. Since the loss to “Uncle Creepy” da Silva has gone 5-0.

The Pederneiras’ Nova União fight team member trains alongside current UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and interim bantamweight title contender Renan Barão.

No word as to when da Silva will make his UFC debut, but with the flyweight tournament finals between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson going down at UFC 152 in Toronto, we may see da Silva grace the undercard of that event. ______________________________________________________________________________
