UFC Fight Night 49 post-fight bonuses: 4 fighters head home with a $50,000 bonus

UFC Fight Night 49 is now history.  Some history was made, as well.

UFC Fight Night 49 post-fight bonuses: 4 fighters head home with a $50,000 bonus

The event was the second half of the third UFC double header ever, headlined by Former Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson taking on fellow top lightweight Raphael dos Anjos.  The odds favored Henderson greatly, but Dos Anjos pulled something off no one saw coming.  A first round knockout over the former champ.  Dos Anjos is one of two fighters who have finished Henderson since 2007.  The first fighter being current champion Anthony Pettis (twice).

Ben Saunders kicked off the FOX Sports 2 preliminary fights with a bang.  Well, actually it was a submission victory, one that no one has pulled off before in the Octagon.  Saunders defeated Chris Heatherly via omoplata.

Main card fighters Thales Leites and Jordan Mein picked up a first round TKO victory as well.

As always, UFC officials announce who will take home an extra $50,000 as a Performance of the Night / Fight of the Night bonus at the post-fight press conference.

There was no Fight of the Night bonus given out, so four fighters picked up $50,000 as a Performance of the Night.

Performace of the Night #1: Raphael dos Anjos

Performace of the Night #2: Jordan Mein

Performace of the Night #3: Thales Leites

Performace of the Night #4: Ben Saunders
