UFC on FOX 2: Fight of the Night Bonuses

Dana White announced the UFC on FOX 2 Fight of the Night Bonuses through his twitter account after the event.  Each fighter was paid $65,000.00 for their performances.

Submission of the Night went to Charles Oliveira for his beautiful unorthodox calf crank as Eric Wisely attempted to escape his original heel hook attempt. Olivera said it he had not practiced the move, which makes the submission even more impressive.

In his UFC debut, Lavar Johnson won the knock out of the night by becoming the first person to knock out Joey Beltran within the octagon.  Johnson gave kudos to his opponent as it took four hard consecutive uppercuts to stop the Mexicutioner, where on a normal person, it would have only taken one.

The fight of the night honors went to the high paced, evenly matched bout of Evan Dunham vs. Nik Lentz.  The fight went back and forth up until the end of the second round where Dunham was able to rain down heavy elbows to Lentz face which caused a doctor stoppage between the second and third rounds.  Lentz was unable to continue as he was unable to see from his left eye.
