UFC Mexico City Results: Moreno vs. Royval 2

UFC Mexico City Results

Main Event:

For the first time since 2019, the MMA world leader lands back in Mexico City for a fight night event headlined by Tijuana’s Brandon Moreno.

Ex-champion Moreno enters his sixth-straight rematch when he meets Brandon Royval across five rounds or less.

Royval lost to Moreno in their first encounter, suffering a shoulder injury back in 2020. Both Brandon’s are coming off a loss to current champ Alexandre Pantoja in their last fight and look to rebound in Mexico.

Co-Main Event:

The co-main event between Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega is also scheduled for five rounds of action. Just like the main event, this featherweight bout is a rematch as Rodriguez TKO’ed an injured Ortega in 2022. Rodrigues vs. Ortega has major title implications at 145lbs as there is a new king in Ilia Topuria, who just dethroned Alexander Volkanovski.

Also on the Card:

The youngest fighter on the roster Raul Rosas Jr. takes on his next test in ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ 29 winner Ricky Turcios. You can catch the bantamweight bout in the middle of the main card.
