Taking center stage in his home country of Mexico for the second time in three fights, former two-time UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno will tangle with previous title challenger Steve Erceg in the UFC Mexico main event. But first, splendid first round finisher Manuel Torres tests himself opposite venerable lightweight slugger Drew Dober.

After dropping two back-to-back split decision losses to Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval, Brandon Moreno opted to take a leave of absence from the sport, citing a need to heal both physically and mentally. Nine months later, “The Assassin Baby” returned to impeccable form by out-striking and battering 125-lb contender Amir Albazi for five rounds at UFC Fight Night 246.
Debuting in the company back in 2023, Erceg swiftly earned a championship opportunity by rattling off three straight wins to challenge current flyweight incumbent Pantoja, falling to the Brazilian by unanimous decision. Faltering again in his last time out to the Octagon to Kai Kara-France, “AstroBoy” can vault himself back into the title picture with a monumental upset over another previous belt-holder in UFC Mexico this weekend.
UFC Mexico Co-Main Event
Recording three first-round stoppages in his first three UFC bouts, Torres had all the makings of a hot prospect well on his way towards contendership. That was until his fire was snuffed out completely by recently ranked opposition Ignacio Bahamondes. Going toe-to-toe with another of the 155-lb category’s excellent strikers, “El Loco” can possibly make a case for a numbered opponent should he get the job done against Dober on Saturday night during UFC Mexico.
1-3 in his past four contests, promotional veteran Dober has seen and done most of it all during his more than 10-year tenure with the UFC, sharing the cage with many stalwart and noteworthy competitors. Though he may be entering enemy territory for his scrap with Torres, the American’s entertaining striking style will undoubtedly earn him some fans in Mexico.
