UFC Vegas 102 Weigh-In Results: One Bout PPD After Fighter Encounters Medical Issue

It’s only less than 24 hours away from UFC Vegas 102 from inside the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, NV. Saturday night, the Apex will play host to its only card this month. Live coverage of the show commences at 4 pm ET/ 1 pm PT on ESPN+ (United States) and Disney Plus through the Disney bundle with the undercard.

Main card action caps off the evening at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on ESPN+. All told, barring any further adjustments to the card in the final hours before the show, the final version of the fight card features 12 bouts from MMA’s No. 1 promotion.

Friday morning in Las Vegas, the official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 102 were held. The three-hour weigh-in period wasn’t without a little bit of drama, however.

UFC Vegas 102 Prelim Cancelled At Weigh-Ins Because of Medical Issues

Initially, Jared Gordon (20-7, 1 NC MMA, 8-6, 1 NC UFC) was to meet up with debuting Mashrabjon Ruziboev (20-4-1, 0-0 UFC) in a lightweight bout. Ruziboev will have to wait another day for his UFC promotional debut, however. During Friday’s UFC Vegas 102 weigh-ins, Ruziboev withdrew from tomorrow night’s bout due to problems encountered with his weight cut.

Gordon, who was first booked to fight Kaue Fernandes this weekend before he was forced out because of visa issues, made the lightweight nontitle maximum of 156 lbs without incident. He’ll be paid his purse for the fight as a result of making the contracted weight.
