With likely title implications on the line, flyweight contenders Manel Kape and Asu Almabayev face off in a crucial main event clash at UFC Vegas 103. Before that, however, middleweight hard-punchers Cody Brundage and Julian Marquez square off in the co-main event.

After losing his first two fights in the promotion, Kape had embarked on a stellar four fight win-streak, elevating himself to being called one of the best strikers at 125-lb. Although his string of wins was eventually ended after a controversial unanimous decision loss to Muhammad Mokaev, “Starboy” has since rebounded with a knockout victory over Bruno Silva ahead of UFC Vegas 103.
Undefeated since 2017, Almabayev has racked off 17 consecutive victories in a row. In his past four UFC appearances, the Kazakh grappler has been nothing short of dominant, making easy work over stern opposition such as C.J. Vergara, Ode’ Osbourne and Matheus Nicolau.

While his tenure in the company has been marred by middling results, Brundage has developed a reputation for being a fan-favorite finisher. Across all of his UFC wins, the wrestling standout has stopped the likes of Dalcha Lungiambula, Tresean Gore and Zach Reese.
Looking to halt a three-bout skid, Marquez has the chance to get himself back into prospect status in possibly the most important contest of his career. Not long ago, “The Cuban Missile Crisis” had seen a steady rise up the middleweight ladder with high-profile triumphs against Phil Hawes, Darren Stewart and Sam Alvey.
