UFC’s Debut On Fox Headed To Anaheim On November 12

Yesterday the UFC announced the partnership between them and Fox Sports. They announced that the first event would be on November 12, but it was only rumored that it would take place in Anaheim, California. Today UFC Officials announced that the card will in fact take place in Anaheim and will feature a featherweight bout between Pablo Garza and Dustin Poirer on the under card.

This is the first announced fight on the card. Two fights will air Live on Fox Sports.

Both men are 2-0 inside the octagon, but both have had their victories in different fashion.

Garza entered the UFC with a 9-1 record and took on Fredson Paixão in his debut. He didn’t only finish the fight, but he finished it with a flying knee at just 51 seconds of the very first round. His second fight he won by flying triangle also in the first round. Look for fireworks in this one.

Poirier on the other hand has won two decisions against Josh Grispi and Jason Young. Poirier trains out of Gladiator Academy with UFC fighter Tim Credeur.
