Undefeated Kurt Holobaugh takes on Pat Healy at 'Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine'

Hopefully third times a charm for Strikeforce Lightweight number one contender Pat Healy. With his original two opponents unable to scrap due to injuries, the organization has called upon undefeated fighter Kurt Holobaugh (7-0).

MMA Weekly dropped the new match-up.

Healy (28-16) was originally expected to take on the Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez, however the champ was forced to withdraw from the bout due to lingering shoulder issues. Strikeforce then put Jorge Masvidal in to take on the veteran Healy, but was forced out of the fight with a back injury.

This will be Holobaugh first test inside the Strikeforce cage. Most recently the undefeated fighter submit Ronnie Rogers at a regional event back in June. With a win over Healy, the Louisiana native will all but guarantee himself a spot inside the UFC.
