Updated Fight Card for FCC 7

India-based Full Contact Championship has announced a number of match-ups for its upcoming FCC 7 event, which is set to go down on October 27th, at the Famous Studios situated in Mumbai, India.

The promotion announced the bouts via its official Facebook page.

Updated Fight Card for FCC 7

FCC 7 is set to be headlined by 2 promotional newcomers in Eddie Teel and Vishal Balkawade. The latter has won numerous championship accolades thus far, including a Gold medal at the famed Abu Dhabi Combat Club tournament. The Indian fighter is also a gold medalist in various aspects of Mixed Martial Arts, including Judo, Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu.

And while the Main event is set, FCC has slated more bouts that may tickle the taste-buds of the casual MMA fan.

First off, Alfan Hashmi is set to take on fellow promotional veteran Raju Shirsagar. Both fighters are coming off losses in their respective professional MMA careers, and interestingly, those set-backs have been against the same fighter: Nitin Gaikwad. With that said, Hashmi and Shirsagar boast the same MMA record of 1-1 as well, so this fight may be closer than you think.

Elsewhere, Sangram Bhakre is set to do battle with Nepalese Kick-Boxing Champion, Suraj Bahadur. Commonly known as the ‘Slammer’, Bhakre is 3-0 in both his MMA career and in his stint with FCC. The FCC veteran was last seen at FCC 5, where he submitted Mukesh Thakur via Armbar. Bhakre may very well have the experience edge in this match-up, against an opponent who’s actually set to make his professional MMA debut.

Kolhapur wrestler Tanaji Patil will be looking to put his MMA debut loss behind him, when he takes on Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Nadeem Farooqi. Both fighters have only fought once in their respective MMA careers, but it’s Farooqi who has a ‘check’ on his win column. Patil, in the meantime, went the distance with Aditya Deshpande in a hard-fought battle at FCC 6, but failed to get his hand raised at the end of the bout. It’ll be interesting to see if both fighters will take the fight to the mat, at any point of time.

Devandra Yadav is set to welcome a fighter simply known as Kapil, to the world of MMA, when the latter makes his professional MMA debut on October 27th. Yadav is 1-1 in his MMA career, and has never been stopped thus far. Known for his cardio and willingness to strike with anybody, Yadav’s full MMA skill-set will be put to the test when he faces Kapil.

Rounding off the announced match-ups will be a pair of Lightweights in Farhaan Siddiq and Yannik Denizart. Both fighters are set to make their respective MMA debuts on October 27th.
