The Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC for short), will be hosting its 22nd event on November 17th. A venue, however, is yet to be named by the Filipino-based promotion.
The announcement was first made by TheFightNation.
Founded in November 2002 by Alvin Aguilar, a 1st Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, the URCC has produced some of the greatest Mixed Martial Arts action that Asia has to offer and to date, it’s the longest running MMA promotion in the region.
The organization will undoubtedly be celebrating its 10-year anniversary through this event, so do look out for a couple of famed foreign and local fighters to be booked on the fight card.
Speaking about the fight card, 2 fights have already been made official for the URCC 22 event.
URCC veteran Reydon Romero will be looking to snap his 2 fight losing skid, against Team SPRAWL MMA’s Sulpiano Laurio Jr. Romero holds a professional Mixed Martial Arts record of 4-3, and all of his fights have taken place in the URCC ring. One of the newest members of Team DefTac, Romero will be looking to revive his career, following consecutive stoppage losses against Ricardo Sapno and Will Chope at the events titled URCC – Rogue Magazine’s Black Tie 2011 and URCC Baguio 4 – Background respectively.
Laurio, on the other hand, brings a 1-1 resume to the URCC ring. And just like his opponent, all of his professional bouts have taken place in the Filipino-based promotion. Laurio was last seen at URCC 20, where he suffered the first setback of his career after being TKO’ed by Andrew Benibe in the 1st round. He is well known for his aggressive punches, and brutal Ground-And-Pound.
The 2nd fight that was announced by the promotion, pits Caloy Baduria against Panchito Estrada. Estrada is yet to record his first professional win as a Mixed Martial Artist, where he holds a record of 0-3.
Baduria, in the meantime, will be competing for the 13th time in the URCC ring. Fighting out of Elorde MMA, Baduria is 2-3 in his past 5 fights, where he has faced fighters such as Eduard Folayang and Tiequan Zhang.
