Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat 4 Results

Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat is back at the Stockton Civic Auditorium in Stockton, California for A1 Combat 4: Wallace vs. Lopez. Tonight’s action will be headlined with the promotion’s very first title defense when A1 Combat’s Middleweight Champion, Randall “Buddy” Wallace, takes on the challenger Joaquin Lopez.

After nearly a 3 year layoff, Wallace (17-9-1) came back and secured a victory over former TUF 29 contestant Aaron Phillips finishing him with a bulldog choke halfway through the second round. Now just two months after winning the belt, Wallace is looking to defend his title against A1 Combat newcomer Joaquin Lopez. Lopez (6-2-0) is coming off of a loss to Ivan Batinich who was the fighter previously scheduled to face the champion. With all 6 victories coming by way of knockout, Lopez will be looking to bounce back from his last fight with another finish.

The co-main event features another middleweight scrap when Nick Kohring takes on Moses Murrietta in a contest that might determine who’s taking on the champ next. Kohring (12-2-0) is a former TUF contestant as well, participating in the show’s 17th season after having just 3 professional fights. Now almost a decade later, the Stockton native will look to have the home field advantage over Moses Murrieta. Murrieta (9-6-0) has a bit of experience himself after fighting in Bellator, LFA, CFFC and even M-1 Global over in Europe. After losing 5 of his last 6 fights against some tough competition, Murrieta is looking to silence the crowd with an upset against the hometown fighter.

Some other fighters to look out for include Chuck Campbell (3-1-0) who fights out of the renowned American Kickboxing Academy. Team Oyama’s Adrian Guzman (6-3-0) looking to rebound from a first round loss in A1 Combat 3. Also, Blake Perry (1-0-0) who was a heavy underdog in his pro debut in Bellator and despite the odds, secures an anaconda choke towards the end of the second round.

MMA Sucka will have live coverage on Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat 4 as it airs live on UFC Fight Pass at 5pm E.T./2pm P.T.
