Video: Fabricio Werdum defeats Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

Fabricio-Werdum

Saturday night was not the night that the “Pride Never Die!” crowd was hoping for as “Vai Cavalo” managed to sink an armbar in to elicit a verbal submission from the legendary “Minotauro” in a rematch from their 2006 bout in Pride.

The first round saw both men exchanging strikes in more of a testing fashion, with Werdum controlling the majority of the action in spite of apparent fatigue. Things would go his way in the second when he was able to take the aging heavyweight icon down, take his back, and get the armbar victory.
